Is the app suitable for doctors at all stages of their career?Yes: in fact, we actively encourage a diverse membership, as it allows individuals to find mentors and mentees, and interact with their peers. Whether you’re a student, junior doctor or a specialist, Medixus has wide-ranging benefits to share.
-
Which locations do you cover?Removing physical barriers to delivering quality patient care is at the core of what we do. Therefore, while the issues surrounding healthcare in Africa are the stimulus of our app, we welcome the support and expertise of healthcare professionals around the world.
-
How can hospitals/hospital groups get involved? We’re actively looking to build relationships with senior decision-makers at hospitals and hospital groups who will drive our movement forward. If you’re curious to learn how your employees could benefit visit our Enterprise page - we would love to arrange a discussion.
-
How do you protect patient privacy? We champion the importance of patient privacy and have worked tirelessly to create a service that facilitates this. All images submitted via our app are reviewed and moderated to ensure that all identifying information has been removed. Any image that does not meet these standards will be destroyed and flagged to the submitting user. Identifying information includes, but is not limited to: faces, tattoos, names, date of birth, or anything else that would reasonably allow someone to recognise a patient. The same policy applies to written submissions of patient cases - any identifying information should be removed and the patient’s identity kept anonymous.
-
How can I be sure the doctor I am working with is registered and verified? We are committed to delivering a secure service that creates a reputable network of doctors, who can trust one another as a sounding board for discussion. You can rest assured that any doctor who signs up to Medixus will be thoroughly vetted. We manually verify each new user with the relevant country’s medical authorities, ensuring they are registered and licenced to practice. Until this point, they will not be able to interact with other users through Medixus.
